The firm has always taken an interest in the well being of our employees and their overall satisfaction with the firm. In addition to offering a challenging work environment, professional training and an active interest in working with employees on their career development, Witt Mares believes in providing employees with the opportunity to socialize with each other outside of the office. During the year, the firm sponsors several social events aimed at bringing all of the firm's employees together for a time of relaxation and fun. Examples of these events include:

• State of the Firm Dinner
  This annual event is one of the year's highlights and features a motivational speaker, a cocktail/social and dinner. In addition, this event includes a presentation given by the firm's Chief Executive Officer recapping the successes of the previous year and outlining the goals for the coming year.
• Annual Holiday Gala
  Designed to give staff an opportunity to have an evening out on the firm, the Annual Holiday Gala is a semi-formal event providing plenty of food, entertainment and socializing for staff and their guests.

In addition to firm-wide events, individual offices plan more localized events for the staff including:

• After Tax Season Party
  Anyone entering our offices on April 15th at 5:00 p.m. will find the computers shut down and the lights turned off. Quite a change of pace from the late hours kept by many of our staff during tax season. The After Tax Season Party is a chance to celebrate the end of a successful tax season. Held locally for the convenience of our exhausted staff, these parties are more casual in tone than the Annual Holiday Gala and allow our staff to "let their hair down" and enjoy quality time with their co-workers, friends, and family.
• Holiday Fun
  The holidays bring other events in addition to the Annual Holiday Gala. Ornament exchanges, cookie exchanges and holiday luncheons are a few holiday-oriented events recommended and organized by the staff.
