Paraprofessional Accountant

Witt Mares is looking for an individual with experience in payroll, preparation of bank reconciliations, financial statement and small business income tax return preparation. This position is in our Williamsburg office and has a flexible schedule of 30 to 40 hour per week.

Tax Supervisor

Tax Supervisor for the firm's Norfolk, Virginia office.  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA license and three (3) years experience reviewing and preparing federal, state/multi-state and local tax returns for partnerships, C-Corporations and S-Corporations within the construction, manufacturing and real estate industries including analyzing state and local tax incentives, analyzing and resolving international tax issues, preparing financial projections and enterprise valuations, participating in compilations, reviews and audits of financial statements, representing clients in federal, state and local tax audits and training accounting subordinates.

Senior Accountants

Opportunities for Senior Accountants with 3+ years of experience with financial statements, audit research, supervising activities performed by other staff auditors and managing client relationships on various client engagements. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business, completion of parts of the CPA exam, and knowledge of GAAP. Experience auditing commercial entities is a plus. Customer service orientation, teamwork, attention to detail, oral and written communication skills and leadership skills are necessary.
